Ten Photos I ♥

This is actually a picture of my cousin that i took. I love the friendliness and childish aspects of it, I like how the red leaf and her bright blue jacket clash, i also love the focus on her hands and leaf, her teeth tie the picture together :)
I really love all the different textures like the soft white on the jacket and the crunchy leaf and her soft skin. I also like the color consrast, emphasis (on the leaf) and how the photo is not centered.

I took this photo at Round Top, TX at a place called Festival hill when i went to shoot a promotional video. I love the orange/red color scheme, the detail on the butterfly, and the focus of the photo.
I like the texture of the butterflies wing and how the oranges stand out. i like how the butterfly on the lower left balances out the photo with the group of flowers on the upper right. the focus of the photo is great as well, everything stands out.

I also took this picture at festival hill. This photo was not edited at all. My favorite thing about it is the lighting and how the sun lights up back of the church. The green white and blue go very well together and i also love the placement and how the object is centered.
The unity of the photo is amazing, the sun and all the grass surrounding the church really ties is together. The proportion of the church and trees really gives a good scale and helps the church stand out more.

I took this photo of my step sister in our bathroom. I like the depth, and her emotion on her face. I also really like the color scheme with the yellow fade overlaying the picture. I also like how her bun is set against the wall.
I really like the balance I feel like the big wallpaper character balances out the person in the photo. The  repetition adds an artsy touch, and alteration of this photo and how the wallpaper compares with the subject.

This is a photo of my cousins dog that i took. i love the natural light coming in through the window. how it reflects through the eyes is very neat. i also like how the unfocused leg in the background creates depth.
I really like all the hues in this photo. The cream colored bone goes well with all of the brown tones though out the photo. Although there could be many emphasis's to this photo i think the eye really stands out because of the reflection. the blurred out background creates a sense of depth as well.

This is one of the first "photographer" pictures i ever took. I love the smiley face in the background i drew with eyeliner. the focused bristles on the brush create a cool effect and i also love the depth in this as well.
The main focus is this photo is the textures bristles of the make up brush. the lines going back creates depth and i like the way the photo is balanced.

i took this photo at the Dallas aquarium. Getting the opportunity to take a photo of a shark from that angle was great. the angle is my favorite part of the photo and i like how the shark came out of more of a silhouette because of  the light.  i really love the detail of the sharks gills.
Even tho this is a photo of a shark i think the bright to soft lighting creates good unity though out the photo. I love the emphasis on the shark just because it is over the brightest part of the light.

I took this photo outside of a diner restaurant in Austin TX. My favorite part of this photo is the detail in the center of the flower and how you can see the pollen. the bright yellow makes the ends of the pollen really pop. i also like the placement of the photo and how the brown center is not centered, it gives it a unique look.
I like the textures of the brown center part of the flower, the color contrast, and the proportion of the brown center and the yellow flower petals.

I took this photo at Big Bend National Park backpacking with my mom. This tarantula was actually dead. i like the detail of the little hairs on its legs and also how the legs are in focus with the rocks. although the picture was taken close up i like how there is still a lot of depth to it.
I like the brown earthy tone in this photo. the proportion of the focused pebbles and the focused part of the tarantula go well together. this photo has a nice flow creating unity through out it. my favorite part is the texture of the prickly leg on the tarantula.

i took this photo on the hood of a black car. i found the leaf and added the water drops myself. i love the brown shimmer of the leaf.. i added the brightness and contrast and i really like the shadow it created. my favorite part of the photo is the reflection of the clouds and how it created those colors behind the leaf. this photo was actually in the student VASE competition in 2010 and i made it all the way to state with it :D
The water droplets balance out the placement of the leaf very well. i like the gradation the reflection of the clouds create and the overall hue goes well together. i really like the texture of the leaf and its glossiness.
